National Privacy Principles
Abrahams and Associates understand and respect your right to privacy and the protection of your personal information. Abrahams and Associates is committed to complying with the National Privacy Principles (NPP's) contained in the Commonwealth Privacy Act 1988. The National Privacy Principles enshrines your rights and determines our responsibilities with respect to your privacy and data protection.
Collection of Personal Information:
Protecting your confidential information is fundamental to our relationship with our clients and for our business. All information received in respect of a client matter is subject with strict duties of confidentiality. We will not disclose such information unless in accordance with express instructions.
During the course of our business, we will be required to collect personal information from you. We will only collect information that we believe is relevant and necessary for the conduct of our business.
Use and Disclosure of Personal Information
We will only use your personal information for the purposes for which it was collected or any other secondary purpose that is directly related to the purpose of your information collection.
We may disclose your personal information to:

signed confidentiality agreements required by all our staff.
All our records are kept in secure archives for a period of 7 years from the date of end of business in accordance with the Legal Profession Act (NSW) 2004.
Access and Correction
You may request at any time access to your file and any other personal information we may hold on you. We reserve the right to charge you reasonable administrative costs should you require copies of your file. If we hold information on you that is incorrect, you may request its alteration or deletion subject to our responsibilities under the Legal Profession Act (NSW) 2004.
